For the first time, Vietnam has introduced a product at the International Astronautical Congress 2025 (IAC 2025).

The International Astronautical Congress 2025 (IAC 2025) took place at the International Convention Centre (ICC) Sydney, Australia, from September 29 to October 3, 2025. The event was co-organized by the International Astronautical Federation (IAF) and the Space Industry Association of Australia (SIAA).

This is the world’s largest annual astronautical congress, bringing together representatives from more than 80 countries and nearly 200 leading global technology corporations such as NASA, SpaceX, Leonardo, Airbus, and Thales, reaffirming the global significance and influence of the congress.

The theme of IAC 2025, “Sustainable Space: Resilient Earth”, highlights not only a technology-focused congress but also a symbol of connection, innovation, and vision for the future.

At this year’s event, for the first time, core technology products: Geohub AI Engine and GeoGPT, GeoAI, developed by Vietnamese technology experts from VegaCosmos, a member of Vegastar Technology Group operating in high technology and space technology, were showcased and demonstrated. These innovations will also be presented at the upcoming Thailand Space Expo 2025.

This is an intelligent geospatial platform powered by artificial intelligence (AI), integrating advanced data analytics tools and real-time reporting to support accurate and timely decision-making.

The platform is designed to create positive impacts, from disaster management, environmental monitoring, and urban planning to applications in defense and security, contributing to a safer, smarter, and more sustainable future.

According to Nguyen Ngoc Quang, Technical Director of VegaCosmos, by participating in IAC 2025, VegaCosmos aims to bring Vietnam’s geospatial space innovation initiatives to the global stage, contributing to sustainable development, digital transformation, and affirming Vietnam’s position on the space technology map.

At the event, international visitors had the opportunity to experience live demonstrations of Geohub AI Engine and GeoGPT – GeoAI across key sectors such as agriculture, forestry, maritime, energy, and smart cities.
